Join us on a journey through  fjords and forests to the tip of South America on this all-inclusive 4-day hiking tour in Patagonia Sur.

On this tour, you'll ride a boat through the Strait of Magellan to explore remote bays and hike to Cabo Froward. 

You will attempt to summit Mount Tarn on a guided hike in the Patagonian Andes. 

Best of all, you'll get off the beaten path to enjoy time in nature.

Every day, enjoy meals made with local flavours and ingredients in our traditional Patagonian quincho.

At night, you'll sleep in rustic, wood-heated cabins nestled in the trees of the Patagonian rainforest.

November 2, 2023

 Meet your guides for a welcome dinner, orientation, and pack check at La Perla del Estrecho. Enjoy local food, live music, and the chance to get all your questions answered and equipment prepared for the journey ahead.

November 3, 2023

Begin your day with a picturesque 8-kilometre (5-mile) hike up Mount Fenton. Just minutes outside of Punta Arenas, this low Andean mountain will reward you with stunning views of the Otway Sound.

After your hike, enjoy lunch at a top restaurant in Punta Arenas before hitting the road South.  Stop at cultural historical sites as you make your way to our base camp in the forest.

Spend the afternoon exploring camp before enjoying dinner and drinks around the fire in our traditional quincho.

November 4, 2023

Rise early for a hot breakfast in the quincho with your fellow hikers. Then, head to the coast to climb aboard a zodiac raft and travel through the fjords to Cape Froward, the Southern tip of South America. Hike 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) to the Cruz del Mares. On the voyage back, come ashore in a secluded bay for a 7-kilometre (4.9 mile) hike through the rainforest.

Return to Basecamp for a hot dinner and a night of relaxation.

November 5, 2023

After another hot breakfast in the early morning, leave basecamp to head to the Fin de Camino and begin your 20 kilometre round trip hike to attempt to summit Mount Tarn. Hike from the shore up 800 metres through Sub-antarctic temperate rainforest, peat bog, and high Andean desert for breathtaking views of the fjords and channels of Patagonia Sur.

Return to Basecamp for a traditional feast of  Asado al Palo (Patagonian Lamb Roast).

Noveber 6th, 2023

Spend a lazy last morning in base camp eating a late brunch, walking along the ocean, or spending some time in the forest. 

Head back to Punta Arenas in the early afternoon to carry on to your next adventure.
